Welcome AmeriCorps Service Members

Welcome AmeriCorps Service Members

Kaua’i Habitat for Humanity is happy to welcome two new members to the Kaua’i Habitat ‘ohana! Juliana Sebben and Kyle Gilioli will be serving our island community as AmeriCorps service members, building homes and hope on Kaua’i. AmeriCorps is national service program that works with organizations to address critical needs in the community. At Kaua’i Habitat they will be addressing the current housing crisis by serving as Construction Crew Leaders and we couldn’t be more grateful to have them here.

Juliana is originally from Yonkers, New York and loves staying active outdoors. Some of her favorite hobbies and interests are: hiking, surfing, rock climbing, soccer and yoga. In Juliana’s own words she is “passionate about the health of the planet and believes strongly in the role film and storytelling have to play in it’s healing.” She also loves music, travel, writing, dancing as well as growing, cooking, and sharing food. We can tell right away that she’ll fit right in here.

Kyle is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and will be joining us for his first term with AmeriCorps. AmeriCorps terms generally last around ten and a half months. Kyle has a professional background in Residential Property Management and Industrial Project Management. He has also served as a Youth Soccer Camp Counselor. Soccer, hiking, music, and chess are a few of Kyle’s favorite hobbies. He chose Kaua’i for the hands on building experience and abundance of opportunities for adventure, which tells us he definitely came to the right place.
