Why Affordable Housing?
Homeownership leads to increased financial security, improved physical health, and educational attainment in families while decreasing children’s behavioral problems and reliance on government assistance. It has also been shown to reduce levels of crime over time.
Why is the need so great on Kaua’i?
The island of Kaua’i, as well as the state of Hawai’i, has the highest home prices and rental costs in the country, not to mention one of the most volatile markets. What little land is available is very costly and often is not readily available for building which requires a heavy investment in infrastructure development. Construction costs on island are among the highest in the nation.

Annual Fund
Annual gifts are monetary contributions from individuals or businesses which are unrestricted or undesignated. Your tax-deductible annual fund gift will support our areas of greatest need.
Builders Guild
Sponsors make a meaningful difference in our community by enabling ongoing success through gifts of subdivision sponsorship or house sponsorships.

Download a printable donation form to enclose with your gift. If you would like your donation to arrive in time for us to record it during this calendar year, please allow ample mailing time for it to arrive before December 31. Donations postmarked after December 31 will be recorded to the new calendar year.
Matching Gift Programs
Double your impact! Many employers will match your monetary contribution or volunteer hours with a corporate donation. In many cases, it’s as easy as filling out a few fields on a form or online. Some corporations also extend their matching gift program benefits to retirees as well as current employees. To see if your employer will match your gift, follow these quick steps:
Check the Habitat for Humanity Matching Gifts Database
- Enter your company name
- Select SEARCH
Once you have confirmed your employer will match your gift to Kaua‘i Habitat for Humanity.
- Download your company’s Matching Gift Form, listed under Matching Gift Company Information and Guidelines
- Complete your form and save it to email the form to us as an attachment

After we receive your form, our office will complete the remainder of the form with our information, and will then send the form to your company’s office for final processing. Please be advised, final matching gift confirmation for some companies can take as long as 6 months or more.
