A very special mahalo to Barbara Barton who is doing so much for us and our homebuyers by volunteering at our ReStore! Barbara stopped by the ReStore one day and noticed how busy it was. She saw one of the staff members busily trying to do multiple tasks at once and approached her to simply ask if she needed any help. The response was a very enthusiastic, YES! Barbara then began spending one or two days per week volunteering at our ReStore. When asked about her experience with Kaua’i Habitat she stated, “There is no other volunteer work I could do that would have as much of an impact to local families.” We couldn’t agree more. Helping local families build a safe, decent and affordable home benefits everyone. Through shelter, we empower!
