17 Mar ReStore Provides Puzzles for Seniors
When we posted to Facebook that we had a large selections of puzzles for sale in our ReStore, our only intention was to let the community know what items are currently available at the thrift store. Shortly after the post went public we were contacted by Polphak (Golf) Komolsirisom of the Kapa’a Lion Club, who informed us that the club was looking for puzzle donations for the seniors at Mahelona Medical Center. Whenever Kaua’i Habitat has the opportunity to partner with other community organizations, to improve the local community, we always try to do our best to help. Once Kaua’i Habitat for Humanity ReStore Manager, Jeff Iida, learned of the request, he was happy to make arrangements to ensure that the Kapa’a Lions Club received those puzzles to share with the seniors. Mahalo to the Kapa’a Lions Club for making great things happen for the seniors at Mahelona, and a big mahalo to Golf, for bringing this need to our attention and making this collaboration possible.
