Aloha friends,
As we step into 2026, I find myself reflecting fondly on the strength and resilience that define our community. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Habitat for Humanity International and 34 years since Kaua‘i Habitat first brought people together on island to not only build homes, but to provide hope and truly affordable housing solutions for individuals and families.
This milestone year invites us to celebrate how far we’ve come and the people like you who have shaped our journey. I hope we can continue to work together and boldly imagine a Kauai where the housing we need is available, affordable, and the community is flourishing.
Housing costs continue to rise, land is limited, and the challenges are real. Yet, our resolve is strong, and I believe more deeply than ever in the power of partnership. Every volunteer who swings a hammer, every donor who gives generously, every homeowner who invests sweat equity and every staff member who works tirelessly with heart and humility – everyone has a hand in building our vision.
In 2026, our team is committed to:
· Strengthening community connections
· Sharing stories of perseverance, dignity and transformation
· And above all, expanding access to safe, affordable housing that lasts for generations
Join us as we enter this year with hope. Hope that shows up with sleeves rolled up and hearts open. Hope that builds homes and a vision of a thriving community.
