Kaua’i Habitat Represents at Pride Parade

It wasn’t your ordinary parade! Organizers of this year’s Pride Parade had to overcome tremendous obstacles in order to pull off a safe and entertaining event this year. Taking the states COVID restrictions into consideration, the organizers planned a fun filled ‘reverse’ parade that allowed spectators to drive along the parade route and enjoy seeing the participating floats lining the street from the safety of their own vehicles. It was a new idea, but it worked incredibly. Vibrant floats and volunteers lined the parade route that ran from Vidinha Stadium along Rice Street to the Historic County Building. The family friendly event provided an extravaganza of rainbow colors, vibrant art and enthusiastic music and dancing for all to enjoy. Kaua’i Habitat was proud to be there to support our island’s LGBTQ+ community.
