Construction Continues

Construction Continues

Our Construction Supervisors, AmeriCorps Servicemembers, homeowners and core volunteers have been very busy making dreams come true this week. Yes, the dream of homoeownership is alive and well in our ‘Ele’ele Iluna neighborhood, especially for future homebuyers Robert Williams and Zachary Kawai who are seeing the walls go up in their future homes.

The day the walls go up is always a special time in the lives of our homebuyers. It’s a physical representation of the sacrifices and progress they have made in the long journey to become a homeowner. Although the size of the crew witnessing this accomplishment has to remain small to maintain social distancing guidelines, it doesn’t change the feeling of pride experienced by these individuals as they imagine living their lives within these walls.  We at Kaua’i Habitat are always proud and touched by these milestones. As we are fully aware of the importance of homeownership and how these families lives will be forever changed as a result.
