28 Aug Blessing Ceremony
Today was a milestone as the amazing Rev. Ipo Kahaunaele-Ferreira blessed the land that will soon be home to the Waimea Huakai Subdivision. Kaua’i Habitat for Humanity along with their partners the County of Kaua’i and the Ahe Group welcomed supporters in Waimea and discussed the wonderful cooperation and partnerships that were formed to make this day possible. Speakers included Rep. Dee Morikawa, Mayor Derek S.K. Kawakami, Governor’s Liaison Carrice Gardner, Ahe Group President and CEO Makani Maeva and Kaua’i Habitat Executive Director Stephen Spears. Master of Ceremonies was Kaua’i Habitat for Humanity Deputy Director Milani Pimental. A delicious luncheon followed courtesy of Kaiwa Construction.
