01 Jun Welcome Anthony
Kaua’i Habitat for Humanity is excited to welcome our newest AmeriCorps service member who will be building homes, communities and hope alongside our staff and homebuyer families for the next 10.5 months. Anthony Boudreau is coming to us from Boston, Massachusetts where he has been working with Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston for most of the past year. While in Boston he has been able to participate in the building of homes, as well as leading groups of volunteers.
As an AmeriCorps Service Member, Anthony chose to serve with Habitat for Humanity because he was already familiar with the goals and mission of the organization. He enjoyed his position working with the nonprofit in Boston and chose to serve another term on Kaua’i after hearing good things about the island team from those who have served in the past. “On top of this, I also felt like Kaua’i would give me the greatest opportunity to grow as a person and experience a new culture,” Anthony shared with the Kaua’i affiliate.
AmeriCorps, a federal agency, brings people together to tackle the country’s most pressing challenges through national service and volunteering. AmeriCorps members serve with organizations dedicated to the improvement of communities.
