28 Aug Thrivent Top Producers Produce Results
Thrivent Financial is once again busy building homes and hope on Kaua’i. This amazing team was so large they came to us in two groups about a month apart. The first group consisted of 34 and the second of 36 of the top producers from Thrivent, that chose to travel with a purpose rather than accept a traditional incentive trip. Our staff was impressed and inspired that rather than receiving a stress-free relaxing vacation, these kind souls chose to help Kaua’i Habitat with their vision of a world where everyone has a safe, decent, and affordable place to live. The team led by Tom Edelen and Amy Heinen spent most of their time framing walls in the Kaua’i Habitat for Humanity base yard instead of lying on the beach during their well-deserved vacation.
The partnership between Habitat for Humanity and Thrivent began in 2005. In that time Thrivent and its clients have contributed more than $282 million and nearly 850,000 volunteers have donated their time to Habitat’s mission. These top performers teams are just one of the programs that encourage their employees and clients to give back to communities around the world. Their Thrivent Action Teams is one of these programs and assists individuals with the tools and seed money to make a positive impact in their community.
In addition to the tremendous impact this team made doing volunteer work for us, they also made significant donations to our cause and even used their lunch breaks to do group fundraising activities in order to make impact every second they were on the island.
If you or your organization would like to make a difference in the Kaua’i community and would like to learn more about bringing a team of volunteers to the islands, please visit Hawaii Village Build for more information on leading or joining a team.
