If you haven’t taken advantage of the opportunity to double your impact, it’s not too late! In an effort to raise funds to build one affordable home in our ‘Ele’ele Iluna subdivision, retired Merchant Marine Captain Jim Richards and his wife Sharon have generously offered to match any donation from the Kaua’i community dollar for dollar up to $50,000. We kindly refer to this fundraising campaign as The Captain’s Challenge. We are happy to report that our community is rising to the challenge and have donated more than $17,500 so far, but there is still a way to go to reach our goal.
