ALERT: There are fake social media ads claiming that Habitat for Humanity is giving away free services (i.e., roof replacements, bathroom remodel, etc.). THIS IS A SCAM. Kaua’i Habitat is aware and Habitat for Humanity International is actively working to have these posts removed.
If you see any fake social media post, please report them to the social media platform where the ad appeared.
Clicking on the fraudulent ads and links, and providing personal information, may lead to identity theft. If you feel you are a victim to the scam, please contact Kauai Police Department immediately.
If in doubt when seeing posts on social media, contact us at our office to get the most accurate information on posts you see involving Habitat – 808-335-0296. Always verify sources before clicking any links. NEVER provide personal or financial information to unverified sources or links to unverified websites. Our Kaua’i-based staff works directly with our participants and will not collect information in this way.
