Rain Doesn’t Slow Progress

Another group of future homeowners are anxious to see the walls go up on their new homes in ‘Ele’ele, but before the walls can be raised they have to be built. Luckily, our baseyard provided the perfect cover from the rain for our homebuyers and volunteers to keep the progress going in our ‘Ele’ele Iluna neighborhood. So along with the sound of hammering you could also hear the sound of rain on the tin roof.

This next group of homebuyers beginning the homeownership process consists of Keanu Fernandez, Raychelle Ariola-Balaan, Angela Cain, Stanley Morinaka and Michelle Duey. The group is beginning their journey just as another group is receiving the keys to their completed homes. Building in multiple phases in the subdivision has allowed Kaua’i Habitat for Humanity’s progress to continue at a steady pace and keeps families moving toward their dream of homeownership.
