107 Affordable Homes For Kaua`i

Of all the work we could be doing, this project creates the most affordable homes for Kaua`i families in the least amount of time.

Eleele Iluna Subdivision

Kauai Habitat’s first executive director, LaFrance Kapaka-Arboleda had the foresight to rally the community to address not only our needs in the aftermath of Hurricane ‘Iniki, but also the long-term needs of the community. She began a process by which Kaua‘i Habitat for Humanity acquired and purchased 24 acres of land in ‘Ele‘ele from McBryde Sugar Company. Purchase of the land was completed in 2007 along with a large donation from an anonymous donor. The land is owned free and clear by Kaua‘i Habitat for Humanity.
