Today the County of Kaua’i recognized and celebrated the impact and accomplishments made by AmeriCorps members at a National Service Recognition event at the Lihue Civic Center. Our own AmeriCorps members, Matt DiNote and Brandon West, were joined by other AmeriCorps members that have been embedded within the Kaua’i community to address critical needs on the island. Kealoha Takahashi, Executive on Aging, welcomed the attendees prior to presentations from Mayor Derek S. K. Kawakami and other community leaders.
