What is a core volunteer? A core volunteer is a volunteer that is so dependable and reliable that you can put them on the schedule as if they were staff. As we begin the new year, we felt it important that we recognize a couple of these amazing people. Alan Momohara and Guy Ambrose were the first volunteers to return to work after the COVID shut down and haven’t slowed down since, putting nearly 800 hours in between the two for 2020!
“We are really fortunate to have them as part of our team,” stated the manager of the volunteer program, Chelsea Crapser, “I feel especially grateful for their hard work and dedication during this crazy year.”
You can usually find Alan in the back of the ReStore refurbishing furniture and other household items and guy driving the box trucks to make donation pick-ups around the island.
