01 Sep Mackenzie Stays On
It’s time to say “mahalo,” but thankfully not “goodbye” to our AmeriCorps service member Mackenzie Hampson. Mackenzie has been with us since September of 2019 serving a 10.5 month term with AmeriCorps. During this time we noticed that she was an awesome Construction Crew Leader on our team. Mackenzie has helped build over 20 homes during her service term with Kauai Habitat, 5 of those from start to finish. Her hard work and dedication to our staff and homeowners is a great example of the value the AmeriCorps volunteers bring to any organization they serve with. Mackenzie’s ability to take initiative and step into leadership opportunities has earned her a paid position as a Kauai Habitat Construction Apprentice.
