14 Dec Kapa’a High School Makes Impact
It was a wonderful day at Kaua’i Habitat for Humanity as students from Kapa’a High School spent the day building homes and hope on Kaua’i! The students from Ms. Michelle Gibson’s Social Studies – American Problems/Humanities class, learned the valuable lesson of giving back to the community by volunteering. The majority of the group spent the day working alongside our homebuyer Theresa Oyamot-Daligcon installing insulation on a home in our ‘Ele’ele Iluna subdivision. The others worked with other volunteers creating an amazing float for the Waimea Christmas Lights Parade, which will advocate the need for affordable housing on Kaua’i. We are so grateful to Ms. Gibson and the Kapa’a High School students for making such a wonderful contribution to our community.
