30 Jan Hawaii Village Build Brings Back Familiar Faces

Team Roberta led by Jan Roberta
As we began a new year, Kaua’i Habitat for Humanity was filled with excitement and gratitude for the amazing support we continue to receive from our dedicated volunteers and team leaders. We are beyond thrilled to welcome back familiar faces and welcome new ones as we kicked off the new year hosting three Hawaii Village Build (HVB) teams.
There is something truly special about the energy that returning volunteers bring with them. Their passion for giving back, their commitment to building homes, and the bonds they’ve formed with our staff, community, and the families we serve create an unforgettable atmosphere on the build site. As we see so many of our returning volunteers roll up their sleeves once again, it feels like a celebration—a coming home of sorts for the incredible individuals who make up the heart of Kaua’i Habitat for Humanity.
Every year, these amazing volunteers not only help us build homes but also build hope for local families in need. Their support is vital in making our mission of providing affordable housing a reality, and we cannot express enough how grateful we are for the time, skills, and compassion they bring to our projects.

For our team leaders, many of whom have worked with us for years, their leadership and expertise continue to inspire and guide our teams. Their ability to bring together people from all walks of life to work towards a common goal, with a shared sense of purpose and unity, is something we deeply appreciate. As we see returning team leaders step back into action, we are reminded of the invaluable role they play in the success of our builds.
In January we hosted three Hawaii Village Build (HVB) teams, and we couldn’t be more impressed with their generosity. These teams, composed of volunteers from across the mainland and beyond, are committed to making a meaningful impact in our community. The energy, camaraderie, and enthusiasm these teams bring to the project sites have a ripple effect, not just in the homes we build, but in the lives of the families we serve and the volunteers who join us on this incredible journey.
