16 Mar AmeriCorps Week
AmeriCorps service members are an amazing group of people. They dedicate 10 1/2 months of their lives addressing critical community needs through volunteerism. Here at Kaua’i Habitat for Humanity we are fortunate enough to have three of these amazing individuals addressing the affordable housing crisis on Kaua’i. They spend their days working side-by-side with local families as they build their homes and futures.
Once a year, in March, we take a week to salute these inspiring volunteers and thank them for the tremendous impact they are making on communities throughout the country. This year during AmeriCorps Week, our AmeriCorps Service Members Peter Kautz, Joseph Burleigh, and Mary Regan were surprised at the jobsite with snacks and a giant thank-you card by Kaua’i Habitat staff and the very people whose lives they are changing. Mahalo Peter, Joe and Mary for building homes, communities and hope on Kaua’i. We appreciate all you do.
