17 Sep Welcome AmeriCorps Service Members
We are thrilled to announce that we have two new AmeriCorps members joining our ‘ohana! Join us in welcoming Jeric J.T. Finnikin and Allegra Nichols. Both will begin their ten-and-a-half-month terms in October.
Allegra will be serving as a Construction Crew Leader, leading and supervising volunteers at the construction site, while Jeric will be serving as a Homeowner Services Coordinator working with prospective and current homebuyers at our offices in Hanapepe, HI. Both have previous volunteer experience and are looking forward to making an impact on our local island community.
“Serving others and the community brings so much peace and joy to me because I get a chance to give others hope”, shared Allegra when asked why she chose to serve with AmeriCorps on Kaua’i. “Kaua’i (will) give me opportunity to immerse myself in an amazing culture while providing an excellent environment to grow and challenge myself in a new way”.
This will be Jeric’s first term with AmeriCorps and is looking forward to this opportunity to serve the Kaua’i community. “By serving in Kaua’i, I will get a chance to learn a new culture and way of life from the locals”.
