Dow AgroSciences, LLC has been a long time partner of Habitat for Humanity. For our local affiliate this corporate partnership not only provides much needed funds and volunteer labor for our projects, it also serves as an example for other companies on island. Corporate sponsors like these are essential to keeping home prices truly affordable on Kaua‘i. Read the great article published in The Garden Island newspaper highlighting the commitment of Dow to those in need of a safe, decent and affordable place to live.

Mahalo Dow AgroSciences

Mahalo Dow Volunteers!

DSCN1249Over a two day period this week, more than 20 volunteers showed up to volunteer for Kaua‘i Habitat’s Repair and Renovation Program! The volunteers from Dow AgroSciences were making america beautiful as part of the Great American Cleanup program of which Dow is a National Sponsor. Over the two day period the group managed to clear the yard of debris and paint the exterior of the home of Elvis and Debbie Troche who lost their home to a tragic fire a few years ago. With the help of Kaua‘i Habitat and a generous donation of an unused house there is now a home where their original home once stood. With the help of volunteers such as these the Troche Family will be back in their home before you know it. Mahalo volunteers! photo 1photo 2photo 3
