Our hard-working Board of Directors contributed their time, talent and money to start Kaua`i Habitat and nurture it through 100 houses.
Global Village teams
They came from far and wide to make their Kaua`i vacation a time of community service. Each team contributed money and hundreds of hours of volunteer labor.

From Anonymous to the Zaima family, over 1,000 individuals have made financial contributions.
Individual Volunteers
From Abbie in Hanapepe to Zach in Wisconsin, over 4000 volunteers have given over 180,000 hours of their time to help build 100 homes on Kauai. Painting, carpentry, general construction labor, office work, and much, much more. Volunteers are one of our most important resources.
Local Businesses
From Aloha Island Properties to the Zonta Club of Hanalei, several hundred local businesses have made financial or product contributions.
Family and Friends of our 100 Habitat Homeowners
Family and friends gave untold support to each Habitat homeowner, helping them fulfill their 700 minimum hours of volunteer home construction, and supporting them through the entire Habitat process.
Kaua`i United Way
Representing hundreds of Kaua`i donors, Kaua`i United Way supports Habitat as one of its member agencies.
First Hawaiian Bank, American Savings and Bank of Hawaii
Kaua`i banks helped us build through support from their foundations and through fundraising events with their employees.
Churches
Kaua`i churches like St. John’s Episcopal, Holy Cross and others support Kaua`i Habitat with meeting space, donations, and housing and food for visiting Global Village volunteer teams
The Case Foundation
The Case Foundation provided important, early financial support (and a home computer) to many Habitat homes throughout Hawai`i including 31 on Kaua`i.

Donated funds for building materials for houses 1 to 5 in our Ele`ele Iluna subdivision.

A&B provided assistance to Kaua`i Habitat for the Ele`ele Iluna subdivision and made contributions through its foundation.

The Kaua`i County government has been an important partner to Kaua`i Habitat since our inception, providing HUD funding to help build over 50 homes.
Office of Hawaiian Affairs
Provided zero percent interest loans on over 80 homes to help pay for construction costs.
Department of Hawaiian Homelands
Partnered with Kaua`i Habitat by providing land that Kaua`i Habitat built 75 homes on.
Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle
Provided grants to help with building materials for 70 of the 100 homes.
USDA - Rural Development
Provided funds for solar hot water and weatherization for 17 homes, and technical assistance grants for 13 homes.
State of Hawaii Legislature – Grant-in-Aid
Provided zero percent loans to help build 10 homes.
Whirlpool, Valspar, Home Depot
National sponsors of Habitat for Humanity that provide appliances (Whirlpool), paint (Valspar), and building supplies (Home Depot) for all Habitat houses throughout the country. Kaua`i’s local Home Depot also donated additional products and materials for many of our 100 homes.
