Welcome Nikita!

We would like everyone to offer a warm welcome to the newest member of the Kaua‘i Habitat ‘ohana! Nikita Wilson is an AmeriCorps service member who will be spending the next 10 1/2 months serving as a construction Crew Leader building homes and hope with us. AmeriCorps is a program that engages adults in public service work that helps meets the critical needs in the community. Nikita is 26 years old and from Hartford, Vermont. She is a graduate from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. Nikita loved Charlotte so much that she stayed to complete a year of AmeriCorps with Habitat for Humanity at Charlotte. There she fell in love with Habitat’s mission and the AmeriCorps program, which led to her decision to serve another year. Nikita chose to serve in Hawai‘i after completing a Global Village trip this past February and becoming enamored with the ‘Live Aloha’ life style. Nikita is very easy going, and enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling, and sporting events. She has also been known to have random jam sessions; “Off key karaoke is my thing! I look forward to meeting and working with you all, Cheers!”
