The wait for an affordable house on Kaua‘i is over for six well deserving families. On Friday, May 27th, 2016 Kaua‘i Habitat for Humanity dedicated it’s first six homes of phase II of the ‘Ele‘ele Iluna neighborhood project. The dedication included a blessing and key passing ceremony for the homes of Marti Smith, Nick Wehrly, Jeremy and Rebekah Albano, Cory Carveiro and Kawehi Harris, Frank and Shana Cruz, and Nalani (Lefty) Kanahele. It was a huge milestone for Kaua‘i Habitat, as years of preparation and hard work have led to this moment. Seeing so many families smiling and knowing they are securing their futures makes it all worth while. The work continues as we strive for a world where everyone has a safe, decent and affordable home.
