Kaua`i Habitat Receives $25K From Servco Giveaway

image002At an awards reception yesterday morning, Kaua‘i Habitat Executive Director, Stephen Spears was presented a check for $25,000 as part of Servco Pacific Inc.’s $250,000 giveaway. The giveaway which awarded ten nonprofits on Hawai‘i with $25,000 each was in honor of Servco Pacific Inc. selling it’s 500,000th vehicle since becoming a distributor in 1958. Receiving this gift was an unexpected honor for Kaua‘i Habitat as recipients were chosen based on letters received by Hawai‘i residents on why they are personally thankful for the work the nonprofit does. The winning letter was written by Hannah Sirois of Kaua‘i Heritage Properties, who expressed appreciation for how Habitat for Humanity has accepted the noble mission of placing deserving parties into homes that they can afford. This award will go a long way to providing homes and hope to the Kaua‘i community. AcesXp-1381-X2
