Welcome Lonnie

Lonnie Sievert, Co-LeaderThis week we are welcoming a volunteer team from Thrivent Financial. Lonnie has been working at Thrivent Corporate Headquarters for 25 years and has participated in many of their corporate builds. An adventure seeker at heart, she loves to travel and trying new things. She has previously led many build teams and is looking forward to spending time getting to know her new team mates and making an impact on the families in need here on Kaua‘i.  Mahalo Lonnie for choosing to make a difference in the lives of the people of Kaua‘i.

Welcome Kimberly

My name is Chris Bruton and I am from Guilford, Connecticut. I am 22 years old and recently graduated from Western New England University with a degree in Management and Sustainability. During my four years I participated in playing on the men’s soccer team and was fortunate enough to  be captain my senior year. Soccer and hiking and any other outdoor activities I would consider my hobbies. I feel extremely grateful for this opportunity at Kauai Habitat for Humanity and look forward to meeting and working with individuals that are looking to make a difference and help the community. Helping less fortunate communities and individuals has always been one of my goals and dreams growing up and now I am here on this beautiful island to fulfill my dream! These next 10 ½ months are going to be life changing and I cannot wait to build relationships, houses, and acquire lifelong skills and knowledge.
