Hawaii charities are big winners at 2014 Sony Open!

The Sony Open in Hawai‘i is the signature fundraising event for Friends of Hawai‘i Charities, Inc., which benefits more than 170 local charities. The all-volunteer Friends of Hawai‘i Charities organization announced that it will distribute a record $1,070,000 this month to non-profits around the state. The recipients are community based, non-profit organizations which operate programs for Hawai‘i’s children, women, elderly and it’s impoverish. This is the tenth consecutive year that the Sony Open successfully reached it’s goal of raising a million dollars. The success is attributed to the significant, long-time charity partnership of The Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, Inc., which matches funds raised at the golf tournament dollar-for-dollar. Thank  you Friends of Charities for all you do to help local non-profits in the state, and for sharing the information and photos.Friends of Charity
