Stop by & see us at the Anahola Prince Kuhio Day Celebration at Anahola Beach Park this Saturday 11a-5p. Our E.D., Stephen Spears, will be speaking about our founder, the late LaFrance Kapaka-Arboleda, and our work at Kaua`i Habitat. You’ll also get a chance to meet our newest homeowner Dellvyne Gandia, who will be at our table that day.
The Garden Isle Tri Fest is tomorrow! Help us cheer on all participants, including our very own board member Julian Coiner! For details, visit www.gardenislandtrifest.com
Hats off to our very own Hannah Livingston and Chris Casey for the tremendous work they are doing in support of our affiliate. Mahalo a nui loa!
Our new used truck is in, thanks to the generosity of G. N. Wilcox Trust and Elsie H. Wilcox

making this happen!
It’s International Women’s Day! We’ll have a WomenBuild day on Kaua`i this year in early May. Meanwhile, read the new research about the positive effects affordable homes have on female heads of households: “Survey of Habitat for Humanity homeowners shows increases in self-esteem, well-being and family health”
Most of Kaua`i is under a flash flood warning or watch right now. Here’s a picture from our flooded baseyard over the weekend. We were able to move machinery and materials to higher levels and the waters finally drained away. More heavy rains this afternoon, but then we should start drying out.
Kaua`i Habitat for Humanity is an equal opportunity employer.
