It’s easy to “like” Valspar Paint!

It’s easy to like Valspar Paint, Habitat for Humanity’s national paint partner. On Kaua‘i, they have contributed paint to each of our Habitat houses, helping keep expenses down and making Kaua‘i Habitat homes truly affordable.

This month, Valspar is ramping up its efforts to support Habitat through their “Like to Change the World” initiative. For every new “like” on Valspar’s Facebook page (through 1/31/12), $1 will be donated to Habitat for Humanity to support the construction of simple, decent and affordable housing. Kaua‘i Habitat likes Valspar – won’t you like them too?

Grants awarded for truck purchase

Mahalo nui to G. N. Wilcox Trust, and Elsie H. Wilcox Foundation (Bank of Hawaii, Trustee); and to S. W. Wilcox Trust (Bank of Hawaii, agent) for their generosity in awarding grants of $15,000, $5,000, and $10,000 respectively toward the purchase of a used flat bed truck. The much needed truck will help us step up our efficiency and productivity with towing, loading, and hauling tasks for multiple construction projects across the island.

Happy New Year 2012 to all our great supporters!
